Web 2.0

I believe Web 2.0 shows how the internet has advanced, which is reflected in the title. I believe 2.0 is generally pushing the idea that this is the second generation of internet - a lot of things are dubbed with a number of a similar sort to convey such a change. Maybe the everyday, normal user of the internet would not notice a change, but to web design companies and similar professions, the internet is continually improving.
It seems some - maybe even a lot - of things that were popular before or maybe around the time I was born are becoming obsolete. A simple example: Blockbuster. As the popularity of high speed internet continues to grow, it becomes almost a necessity to have in every home and business. In the business world, communication would not be the same without email. Speaking of communication, it has changed drastically because of the web - think of AIM, facebook, myspace, and even blogs. Moving on, such websites as monster are a huge help not only to the professional on the search for a job, but the employer on the search for the perfect candidate as well. It seems as if one could go on for days about how the internet has caused a revolution in itself. To answer the last question about rethinking everything, I believe it is a valid statement because since the creation of the web (thanks to Al Gore.) almost everything has changed in some sense.
